You say goodbye, and I say hello!

Hi everyone!
My name's Mitzi, and I'm from a small town in New Brunswick, Canada. I work as manager at a consignment shop, and I love it! Clothes are truly my passion. On a daily basis, I spend most of my time thinking about clothing, planning future outfits, and sketching them.

I have many inspirations, among them my favourite movie, "The Little Mermaid." When I was very young I had an Ariel Barbie, for which my mom and I would design clothes. I carried her everywhere, even after she lost a leg! Ariel travelled with me all over the United Kingdom, and to this day London - one of my favourite cities across the Atlantic Ocean - is another huge inspiration to me. I have been there twice, and always hope to go back!

I named this post after a Beatles song, because I'm saying "hello!" to Blogspot and "goodbye" to blog.ca. I tried it out for a while, with very little readership, noticing more and more that it was not a great location for a personal style blog, which is what mine will be. I had lots of fun writing my blog entries, so I'm not giving up! Just moving :) My old blog can be found at:    mitzi24.blog.ca

My vision for this blog is to post photos of my daily outfits (or at least notable ones, everyone has lazy days!), as well as some of my sketches, provided I can find a good scanner :P I hope you enjoy my blog! I can also be found on Chictopia:

In honour of the title of this post, here's an outfit that I worked around one of my Beatles t-shirts!

I love love LOVE the skirt I'm wearing in this picture. It's a huge thing to say, but I think it's one of my favourite pieces of clothing! It's a lovely grey and cream seersuckers, with mother-of-pearl-ish buttons and POCKETS! Skirts with pockets are the best.

The following picture is one of my boyfriend, sister, and I with two of the coolest, most stylish people I've ever met. My town has a University, and it runs a program called MASSIE which brings Japanese students to Canada, either for the summer or for a semester. We were a host family this year, and it was so much fun! I'll really miss my Japanese "brother and sister"!

OK, that's enough for now. Haha! Sorry for the long-winded post, I'll make them shorter in the future!

Happy dressing!

  1. Yay! I'm so glad you're designing clothes, and blogging too... I'll have to tell Ms. Kathleen - she has filled books with drawings of clothes - dresses mostly, and even has her own line called "Jasmine", or "Jazzy" for some different designs. Did you design the skirt you're wearing?
Good luck with your fall "Mitzi" ;)

  3. Thanks!
This skirt was actually a lucky Winners find. I've had it for over 4 years!
