St. Paddy's!

This is what I wore for St. Patrick's Day! I love dressing up for "holidays" :D

I wore this green skirt that my sister recently hand-me-upped. I love it!! I used to envy her when she wore it, and now it’s mine!! Haha. I decided to go all-out with the Irish colours, wearing this orange-and-white floral print polo. Actually, besides the cardigan, everything in this outfit is “new!” It’s all second-hand, but new to me ;)

The shoes and purse are from the shop I manage, and so is the shirt! Actually, the cardigan is too :P Besides the skirt and tights (from H&M), everything I’m wearing is from there! ...well, I guess the sunglasses aren't either. Still, four pieces is more than the three that aren't! Haha!
I was so excited when this shirt fit, because it's ORANGE! I'm trying to collect orange pieces for spring, and this baby is lightweight and cotton, so it will be nice in the summer! Hooray!

And don't even get me started on these booties. I was mourning the failure of my black booties (so uncomfortable, they hurt the tops of my toes to the point that as soon as I put them on my feet start screaming... and they're FLAT!! :/). They shouldn't be, look at them here and more clearly here. Anyway, so sad!! Then my boss brought in these little brown IDENTICAL SHAPE AND STYLE ones, except they're way better!! And they're vintage. And they're comfortable. I had to run to class wearing them, and my feet were fine! My lungs, on the other hand... I digress. Happytime, I love shoes that don't hurt!

Ooh, and aren't these tights neat-o? I'm a huge sucker for plaid, and these came in a two-pack with a pair of vertical-striped ones! Uh, hello, the fashion gods were waiting for me in the accessories section at H&M that day!

H&M is also where I got these funny glasses. I really liked them in the store and in the mirror, but I think they look funny in pictures! Oh well, I'm still all about them. Can't wait to wear them at the beach! I need a high-waisted 40s-style swimsuit to go with them!

Oh yeah! St. Patrick's Day. To celebrate, my parents had a dinner party with Guiness stew and green mashed potatoes! My dad is the king of mashed potatoes, and he made them "green" with avocado and spinach mashed in! My mom's stew was awesome too, it was done in the slow-cooker with sweet potatoes and onions and beef, and it all just melted in your mouth. Yummm. Good thing there are leftovers, I may need an evening snack... haha!

Billy and I also went to see Reefer Madness: The Musical! It was hilarious! We even thought about going again tonight, but we made really great room-cleaning progress on Wednesday and promised each other we'd finish it tonight!

We're also going to watch Two Days in Paris, a random movie I rented. Obviously I only picked it because it had "Paris" in the title. I hope it's good! I'll let you know ;)
