Spring Green

Spring is coming! Don’t be fooled by the still-mountainous piles of snow behind me. They’re melting!

Time to shed those heavy winter coats and wear jackets without a million sweaters! Haha. I overdressed with this one, hooray! I was wearing a wool cardi over this thin spring green sweater, but I didn't need it!

I love the transition between Winter and Spring when the snow is still melting. There’s a certain beauty to the metling hunks of snow, and the tricking sound of the melting itself! It’s temperate enough that it’s comfortable to go for walks now too. I find it so interesting to see the stratification of the snow banks, where you can see each snowfall in layers of brown dirty snow from where it crusted with the whit fluffy snow in between! Neatooo.

Today is also the first day of Daylight Savings Time! Or the opposite, whichever the “Spring forward” is. Now it’ll be easier to get pictures in good light, hooray!

Right, the outfit :P I wanted to wear light Springy colours, so I wore this pale green sweater and my watercolour-plaid print skirt. I added my silver leather jacket and soft-as-a-cloud blue pashmina. It all felt so light and pretty! I’m so glad to see the end of winter :D

I feel like the weather changing is just the push I need to get through the rest of this semester. Thankfully this past week was the busiest of the semester in terms of due-dates, so I can relax a little bit!

I can set some goals for myself and not feel too overwhelmed with everything to even consider getting them done! Isn't that such a weird kind of cyclical behaviour... "I need to do a ton of stuff. Oh my goodness, that really is a lot of stuff... ahhh I can't figure out how I'm going to get it all done!!" *shut down mode*Anyway, I'm feeling good now. This week I want to start going back to the gym and get my room cleaned. I have to write an essay today and turn presentation notes into another one, but the first is only 1000 words and the second just needs a little fudging. Easy peasy!

I wore this outfit as a bit of a costume too! Billy and I went to a "Party on the Mothership," where the house was decorated like a spaceship and there were blacklights and stuff. We went as aliens, wearing our regular clothes and just doing hair and makeup! I drew a "third eye" on Billy's forehead and we teased his hair:

As for me, I made a pony-hawk with my hair and drew funny eyebrows and little black lips:

It was great, some people at the party didn't even recognize me! Heh heh heh. I am an alien master of disguise ;)

Aww, my friend Matty just left too! He came to visit yesterday, and we went shopping :D I got two pairs of tights, a pair of sunglasses, and a t-shirt maxi dress H&M! I'm excited to show it to you all :D

Now I’m off to write and essay on Rahner’s philosophical paradox of…something. Wish me luck :S
