Free the Children

I wore this outfit to the Free the Children fashion show at my university!  Free the Children is a non-profit organization that works to help children around the world achieve their rights to education and freedom. The proceeds from this particular show went to help build a school in Sri Lanka! I was so inspired by the show, and I hope to participate next year with designs of my own :D

We didn't have time to take pictures during the day, so we had to take them at night. The flash onmy camera is really bright, so that's why I have such crazy eyes in these pictures! Haha. Or am I smizing? Tyra would be proud ;)

I wore this silk shirtdress over a black turtleneck, because it's still a bit too cold for the dress alone! I wore grey tights and my silver faux-leather jacket to bring out the grey in the leopard print, and I also wore black over-the-knee socks to add some interest ;) I love the way my gold pashmina looks with leopard print, so I wore it too!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Happy first day of Spring!

Dress: vintage, thrifted from Hazel's
Turtleneck: Streetwear Society, hand-me-up from sister
Belt: thrifted from Hazel's
Tights: Chinese Laundry
Over-the-knee socks: Spring
Shoes: Spring
Pashmina: Bizou Accessories
Faux-leather jacket: Suzy Shier

And happy dressing ;)
