Another essay finished! Clearly I am twirling with glee. Only five-ish more to go before the end of term!!
I had to wear a happy outfit to celebrate the end of this one, it was a monster!! Philosophy is not my bag, but I’m taking this course because it’s taught by my favourite prof, who will be on sabbatical next year so it’s my last chance to take a class with him :( And what a class, brr. At least I have the option of doing a painting in lieu of the final essay! Rock on ;)
So, this outfit. This striped shirt is one of the things I bought at Value Village on my birthday! I had been planning to wear these two skirts together for a while, and this shirt was the perfect top for the look. Somehow I didn’t have a black-and-white shirt with thin stripes before now…weird! But anyway, perfect. I added my reverse-polkadot tights to reflect the dots on the underskirt!
And I chose my black lacy shawl because fringes are fun ;)
I can't believe it's 5 o'clock and the sun hasn't even started to set! The Spring Time Change is awesome for that. The only part that takes getting used to is having to get up earlier! I didn't go to bed til "2 a.m." last night, and it took me FOREVER to wake up this morning. I miss my hour of morning sleep! Haha. I'll get over it, I do every year ;)
Ooh! Notice the water running across the street behind me in these pictures? It's the melting!! Sure, there's still a lot of snow, but over the past week it's gone down almost two feet! We can see the driveway from the living room window now, haha!
It was warm enough when we were taking pictures that I didn't really even need my jacket!
That's my Springtime dance ^

A painting in lieu of a final essay? Although philosophy was never really my thing, either, I have to admit that this sounds like my kind of class! Hopefully the rest of your papers won't be quite so brutal :) Love the way you layered your skirts in this look, the longer hem peeking out is just so cute and that shawl is lovely.
