Birthdays are funny things, aren’t they? This is the first one in a couple of years that hasn’t had something totally awful happen :P Last year was a sort of “cry if you want to” type, and the year before that I had naaaasty food poisoning. BUt this year was quiet, happy, and uneventful! Yay :D
I woke up this morning to a fresh pot of coffee, a pot of soup (I’m not much of a breakfast person), and books on Paris and Alphonse Mucha! And Billy got me a pair of gorgeous Egyptian amethyst earrings from the Met.
In the afternoon, we went to Moncton (the nearest city), and I got a haircut! Much needed, and the girl who cut my hair was great. I also went shopping! I bought the long sheer khaki leopard dress from H&M, and my friend Bridget bought me a pair of wicked sunglasses (we ran into her at H&M!)
Then we went to an Inidan restaurant for dinner, and then to Value Village, where I got a bunch of striped shirts, haha! I also got a pair of blue leather gloves and a green pair of baby mittens with leather patches, they were too cute to leave there ;)
At home I had cake (well, cream puffs, donut holes, and mini cheesecakes), and I got The Spice Girls: Live in Istanbul concert DVD! Yesss. I’m totally watching it as I type this!
As you may have guessed, I’m taking another day off from the Alphabet Colour Challenge :D I wanted to wear this velvet dress! I wore it with my shawl and granny booties to celebrate my aging ;)
Back to the colour challenge tomorrow, with "S" and more New York shots! I'm so behind, haha!
Happy dressing!

Happy birthday! I'm glad it was a good one =)
ReplyDeleteWhen you mentioned Moncton, I immediately thought of Road to Avonlea. I was the biggest fan of that show when I was a teenager, and there was an episode where a "city" girl from Moncton came to Avonlea...hahaha. It's in New Brunswick, isn't it?
It is in New Brunswick! Hahaha, Road to Avonlea is awesome, I haven't watched it in so long!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Glad it is a relaxing one :D Uneventful is great sometimes :)
