Haha it took me a while to come up with a title for this! I've been coming up with so many essay titles that my title-maker is on its last legs :P
I came up with "Mars" because whenever I wear purple, red, and black together, it reminds me of Sailor Mars! Sailor Moon was (still is) one of my favourite cartoons when I was younger. I still watch it when it's on TV, and sometimes even have Youtube marathons!
This was another "dress-up for library/essay" outfit. I think it helped!
It was quite a chilly day (Sunday) when I wore this, so I opted to wear my purple sweater-dress over my Frenchy's-found BCBG little black dress! It's probably my most-worn piece of clothing, because I can wear it with everything!
I belted it with my red vintage belt, because without the cinching and the extra pop of colour, the outfit just didn't look right!
I wore my red checkered scarf to continue the red from the belt! I wore my soft, pointy black boots to make my legs look long, hahaha :)
Apparently, "the" colours for Winter 2010 are red, purple, and camel... who knew? I like it! So I wore my camel duffel coat! I hope you aren't getting sick of it, but it's so versatile! Haha I highly recommend camel coats.
That's all for now... I only got seven good pictures out of this photo shoot, can you believe it? Oh well, I have lots for the outfit I'll post tomorrow! (Or later tonight, maybe I'll do a preview for the one I'll put on Chictopia tomorrow :)
Happy dressing!

In a One-Horse Open Sleigh
This is an equestrian-inspired outfit! I felt very "English Countryside" in this one, haha.
This is an outfit made up of "difficult" pieces! It's actually based around the vest, which I bought at Value Village a while ago, while I was still living in Halifax... probably more than two years ago! I stopped wearing it because it got too tight for a while. When I was cleaning my room last week I came across it, and tried it on on a whim... and it fit! I had to make an outfit with it :D
I layered this pale blue polka-dotted top underneath. It rides up like crazy, so it has to be used for layering, and I knew its neckline would be the perfect shape to complement the slightly rounded neckline of the vest and the deep-vneck of the dress! And the ruching at the front matches the ruching on the dress neckline as well :)
This green dress (a Frenchy's find) is also surprisingly difficult to wear. It's empire-waisted and made of jersey, creating all kinds of room for unflatteringness. When I tried on the vest, I knew they would look great together because it would create a normal waistline for the dress! Yay!
I can't believe I've never thought to do pictures by the wood shed... I love the colours and textures! So cozy :)
That's all for now! Yaaay all caught up. Three posts in one day, phew! Hope you don't get sick of me ;)

I had to wear my camel duffel coat with this outfit. I love all the earthy colours! I also wore this paisley pashmina that I got as a gift a couple of years ago. It's a "real" pashmina, made of 45% silk and 55% pashmina... so nice! It's really soft and really warm, but not as versatile as one would think, making it perfect for my "challenging" outfit!
The final touches for the outfit were my brown patterned stockings and my black "riding" boots!

And Don't Forget Rudolph!
Mmmm Christmas sweater! I'd call it an "ugly Christmas sweater, but it's anything but!
This will be another quick post!
I've been planning this outfit for a while actually! I love the high-waisted leggings with the sweater, and how the red floral pattern on the top picks up the red in the sweater :D
The sweater is too big to fit comfortably under most of my coats, so the cape was an obvious choice!
I also felt the leggings needed "something" at the waist, so I threw on my green belt at the last minute.
My cameo was so perfect for this outfit! The off-white of the pearls and face matched the sweater and top, and the black picked up the top, boots, and leggings!
All right, I'm off! Hope everyone is having a nice Monday :D

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
Wow, I'm so behind on here! Oopsie :D But now I only have one essay left, and it's not due 'til Friday! Yesss.
I wore this over a week ago. Oh my :)
This red vintage dress reminds me of The Jetsons! The turtleneck and the jumper-like piping are what remind me of it the most, haha.
This was a morning throw-together look that I thin turned out really well! I added the blue stripy socks onder the little black boots to pick up on the black stripes on the dress.
To keep the red as the focal point of the outfit, I opted for black almost everywhere else. The beret and huge sunglasses add some fun, I think! I got a comment on chictopia from Lremesi that I looked "spy-ish!" Love it.
The camel coat and black pashmina kept my outerwear simple but accordingly dramatic for this awesome dress!
I wore this skinny black patent belt because the dress is a pretty weird shape otherwise! I tried a thicker belt, but it looked awful too. It's so imprtant to play around with "difficult" clothing, because eventually you will get it right!
I LOVE this picture, I put it as my profile picture on Chictopia! Haha. I chose these leaf earrings because the delicate black lines reminded me of the lines on the dress.
Sorry about the lack of writing in this one, I'm exhausted from writing so many essays and I want to quickly get updated on posts! I have two more after this before I'm caught up to Chictopia, haha.

Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland
It's so strange getting out of work/class in the dark... oh well! Billy and I took these pictures at about 10 p.m. and they turned out better than I could have hoped! Yaaaay!
The most magical snow was falling... I had to jump for joy! Hahaha. I think I jumped again because I actually managed to get a good jumping shot...
That time, not so much! (I'm laughing really hard at that, probably didn't translate into blog-funniness. Oh well!)
This is what I wore to work on Saturday! It kind of reminds me of a "first year" outift, probably because I bought this skirt in my first year of university... about four and a half years ago! Weeeird. I was actually contemplating getting rid of the skirt, but then I decided to make an outfit based on it instead :)
I almost wore a red scarf, but then decided it would be TOO MUCH red. I opted for gold instead, and I love the result! It created a nice effect with the greys, the red, the navy, and the turquoise coat!
I wore my black winter boots too. AND SPEAKING OF BOOTS!! I ordered my "bribe boots" on Monday... and they arrived today! Whaaat?! It only took two days for them to get here! And they are soooo lovely, I'm definitely wearing them tomorrow (if it's not raining). They would have been perfect with the outfit I'm wearing today, but by the time they arrived I'd already done my pictures and they turned out too well to warrant a retake! Haha.
Yay snow!
Can you see the precious little owls on my sweater? Here's a closeup:
Hoo! Hoo!
I really love how the background turned out in these pictures! The baskets with the snow on them is my favourite part :D
I took this picture on my way to work in the morning -- the sky was really pretty, but my camera is a poophead and didn't capture it. Oh well!
Now for my least favourite... more essay working. Due tomorrow, had to tweak my topic, haven't found all of my quotations: fun times and busy evening. Having said that, I'm 95% likely to post again this evening! Hahaha.
Happy dressing!
